Our Adventures To Mount Rainer

When Matt and Christie come into town it basically means I am on vacation. Even though I am technically not traveling....I am super busy having fun! There is no time for sitting around. We have places to go and things to do! Our first big adventure was taking a trip up to Mount Rainer. Todds family is really big on taking day trips. It was a long ways to go and we did it all in one day. Unfortunately circumstances out of our control made the day longer then it really should have been. Before we left, little Brooklynn threw up all over herself. Afterwards she seemed to be feeling ok...must have been a fluke...so we went on with our day as planned. My stomach was feeling a bit queasy too but I tried to ignore it. I was sure I could shake it off.

(Maybe I should back up a few days. 2 days earlier Kaden threw up out of the blue but seemed to be ok afterwards....can you see where this story is going???)

On our way to Mount Rainer we needed to stop at Costco in Renton because they had the best price on memory cards and Christie need some in a bad way. While we were at Costco, Kyler says his tummy is feeling weird. I thought maybe he got a bit of car sickness so when he threw up in the parking lot I figured he would feel better afterwards (like everyone else had) And it's not like I could turn around and go home. My car was full of people and we were an hour from home. So buck up buckaroo...we have places to go!

Well poor Kyler did not feel better afterwards. Lets just say his "stomach- over- filleth" all day long. I made a makeshift puke bucket for him in the car and every once in awhile we would stop and empty/ rinse it out. Like I said....we were no where near our house.

I kept expecting him to get better but poor guy was just plain sick all day long! He was such a trooper though. He didn't complain much and he would sneak off and puke in the bushes when he could. When he wasn't throwing up he would try and enjoy the day.

We did have a good time as best we could and saw some beautiful things.

Where we stopped for our picnic lunch, there was this cool old church from 1907. They still have services in it to this day

There he is being a trooper again

Wished we could have stayed here for the night....for more reasons then one!

So here is where the story gets even better. On the way back down the mountain, my nephew Austin starts throwing up. At this point we are like "oh good grief!" At the restaurant for dinner, my other nephew Brendan pukes in the bathroom. The workers at the restaurant are really wanting us to leave cuz we have screaming toddlers and puking children in the bathroom. On the way home afterwards, my mother in law and father in law become sick. My sister in law doesn't know if she for real feels sick or if its just all in her mind!! Its so crazy we can't help but laugh at the insanity of it all. We just want to get home but it seems so far at way!!

Are we on Candid Camera????

15 hrs from start to finish....we are finally home!!

We Are Family....

I may not have mentioned this before but...
I love Todd's Family!!!
I am extremely fortunate to have joined this clan. Not only do I love the immediate family but the extended family is just as amazing. But I'll get to them at another time. For now lets talk about..
The Reynolds

It all started with good ole Ma & Pa. Not only are they responsible for my hunky hubby but they are the nicest people you will ever meet. When Todd and I started dating I was immediately taken under their wings and loved like one of there own. I remember that I never had alot of money so Donna would always make sure I was fed and always asked if I had my milk for the day. She makes me feel like I really am her daughter and I have learned so much from her. Loren's passion is acting and singing. Because of him, my world has been introduced to the arts!

They raised a fine group of lads. And from the stories I hear, they have always been a tight family.

This is Matt and his family. He has been married to Christie for 10 yrs and their kids are Brendan, Austin and Brooklynn. It's been 2 yrs since we had seen them because they live in Missouri (hopefully for not to much longer though)

Sometimes I think Matt is still stuck back in high school but that may be because he is a high school teacher and coach. I'll forgive him for it but only because he married Christie and I get to be her friend! Christie has a huge heart and will give you the shirt off her back. She is an awesome mom. And even though I think we have alot in common....I still have alot to learn from her! (She also makes a mean batch of biscuits and gravy!)

I so very much wish they lived around here!

We are next in line and I don't think there is much more to be learned about us. Everyone already knows how awesome we are...

How we are so beautiful...

And how everyone wants to be just like us!

This is Jeff and he is not married but his heart currently belongs to Lori. We are just getting to know Lori but she so far is a very sweet and likeable person. Jeff is a man of many talents. He can cook, sing in a band and I think he is starting an interest in stand up comedy. When I first met him 13 1/2 years ago I didn't like him very much but mostly because he kind of scared me. He was really grumpy and loud! Fortunately he grew out of that and he is a much more happier and pleasant person to be around. He's still pretty loud though

This is the Miller Family. Melodee is the baby of the bunch and her and Josh have been married for 5 years. I think they plan on having like a bazillion kids but for now they just have Caleb and Lydia

Josh owns his own electrical business and is a chess fanatic! No really...a fanatic. He reads strategy guides for fun! Mel is one of those people who should be voted most popular. Everyone loves her and she is everyones friend. Not only is she super cute but she can sing and act like nobodys business. oh and she's one of those crazy people who have there babies at home! (and I say that with all the love in the world) I love that we have kids only 9 months apart and I appreciate her example.

I don't think a better looking family can be found. Thank God I get to be a part of this bunch!

Maybe no one has even noticed but its been awhile since I've made a post. I have been busy with summer! And let me tell ya......We've had a whole heck of alot of summer this year!
Its currently 103 outside my house and 84 degrees inside my house

Kaden is literally sleeping in front of the fan and I am just to hot to even think about getting caught up today. But I fully intend to do so soon because I have had a great couple of weeks. My brother in law and his family were in town for 16 days and we also went to California for 4 days. Lots of pictures and lots of stories! I can't wait for you to meet my sister in law Christie and the rest of the bunch!

Until I have more motivation....here is a sneak peak at our fun!

I Scream, You Scream..We All Scream For Ice Cream!

Its the morning of the 4th of July and Arlington is getting ready for the big parade. I like the look of our town. Its so very "small- town -like" But we are not here for the parade today...

We are here to eat some ice cream!
A half gallon to be exact. And with no spoon or using your hands young man!
It's every young boys dream
An ice cream eating contest!
Look at him go! He's working for a $25 gift certificate
Uh oh...brain freeze
He put his mightiest effort into it but...
"The girl who looks like she is going to hurl" took the prize that day
But he still got a coupon for a free cone and even after all that he was still hungry for more
And so was Kaden
