Birch Bay

My man preparing me some meat!
What I don't have a picture of is ME beating Todd at horseshoes. I think that surprised him :)
Must have marshmallows
Man builds fire for woman!
The last day was spent at the waterslide park
No we did not go on the speed slide. AKA...enema slide!
But we did go on the "black hole"
And what I don't have pictures of (again!) is at the end of the day... Kyler got stuck in this slide. When the people behind him came around the corner, he was hit hard and pushed forward. He flew out of the slide and on to the pavement. He was scrapped up and pretty bloody. Needless to say we where done for the day!

Kyler and I going down...

Weddings in Weaverville

This was our caravan going down to California. Todd wanted to take a picture because he likes to point out that he sold all 3 of those cars

We had all the boys in our car because we had the dvd player. Fortunately the movies kept everyone quiet. Good thing because it takes about 12 hours to get to where we are going
Its funny how a kid can get so dirty when they have only been in the car all day
So here it is...the ranch! This is where Todds uncle lives. This is the goal for our 12 hours worth of driving. Weaverville, CA. I love it here! Did you know that about 8 yrs ago, Todd and I were THIS close to moving here? Craig and Nancy (uncle and aunt) were looking into buying a local business and they wanted us to come down and run it for them. We were looking for a change in our lives and they presented an opportunity to us. Long story short..the business wasn't going to make the money that we needed so they didn't buy it and we didn't move. But I always look forward to coming here. I can't describe how peaceful it is. We have family reunions here and everyone comes...I mean everyone travels from the across the USA to come to reunions and weddings. That's how close this family is
Such a perfect setting for a wedding!
The weather was extremely hot. Something like 106 degrees. The wedding was planned for the evening just when the sun went behind the mountains. Good thing because it was sooooo hot! We helped a little bit with the set up but fortunately we didn't have to do to much in the heat. Which was good news for us...more time at the pool!
