I'm Back!! I'm Back!! Did anyone miss me???? Its a new year with a new computer. You will not believe the stuff I need to get caught up on. So much has happened but yet...nothing happened. That's kind of how my life goes sometimes. Thinking about getting caught up makes me exhausted. I have a truck load of pictures to download and go through (I am anxious to show you my snow pictures) and I need to figure out how much I am going to post about.
But until then......here is a little 2008 year end review quiz. I found this at another blog that I frequent. She posts this same thing every new year.
Some of the questions are a bit silly, but it’s still kind of an interesting way to recap your year and compare to years past.
So you should embrace this thrilling ritual, because in the wake of the holidays I’m sure you have nothing better to do than answer some long-winded quiz, right? Here are the questions:
1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Rode the subway in New York. Also I survived 10 days away from my husband and kids
2. Did you keep your new year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Why look back? Lets just look to the future...
*I want to be more loving and attentive to my husband
*More patient with my kids
*Be wiser with our money
*Get in better shape
* Be a better friend
*Learn how to take better pictures
*Be a better cook

It may seem like a small thing but I braved getting my mole removed

Getting nothing done! I feel I have not improved or grown this year.

None of my own but I did suffer through Kadens broken arm
11. What was the best thing you bought?
New computer parts so I won't go crazy not being online!
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Todd...for sticking with me!
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Probably some of the people at Todds work. Some decisions made this year affected us in a huge way

Bills... Bills... Bills....groceries and a few trips along the way
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Anytime I went away on vacation this year. Mount Baker, Weaverville, Vegas, New York and Disneyland
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
Believe by Mainstay
When all around me starts to fall and when my faith it seems so small
Even in my darkest hour, I will believe
Even if the sun begins to fall, even when I feel nothing at all
Even if I’m all alone, I will believe I will believe...
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? I would have to say a little sadder. I had higher hopes this time last year
b) thinner or fatter? I think I am a little thinner (but only because I just got over the flu)

38. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see'
Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
My chains are gone I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace
The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbear to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine
You are forever mine

Those are great questions which cause you to look back and remember what happened over the last year. Certainly made me think about it and remember some things. Some years are there for learning and moving on and you don't realize you have grown until time passes and you look back.
2008 was a learning year for lots of people I think...myself included.
Hugs and many happy, healthy, faithful, and weathly wishes to you in 2009!
Teresa
This is a great blog. I enjoyed being able to have a glimpse into your year. Your faith you show even during the tough times is amazing. Keep it up.
May God continue to bless you in 2009 with everything you need, as he has so richly blessed you with a loving husband, 2 beautiful children, and incredible in-laws.
